Ranger Bonnet Letters Installation

Installation Guide

Give your Ranger that clean, factory-inspired front-end look by installing your RANGER bonnet lettering using the supplied pre-marked masking tape.

No measuring. No guessing. Just align, position and stick.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Supplied RANGER letters

  • Supplied pre-marked masking tape

  • Clean microfiber cloth

  • Degreasing solution (Sunlight soap mixed with water works well)

  • A little patience — because crooked letters are NOT the aggressive look we're going for. 😅

STEP 1 — CLEAN THE BONNET

Before installing the letters, thoroughly clean the area where the lettering will be applied.

Make sure the surface is:

  • Clean

  • Completely dry

  • Free from wax, polish, dust and grease

Important: Do not apply the letters to a wet, dirty or freshly waxed surface.

STEP 2 — POSITION THE SUPPLIED MASKING TAPE

Your kit includes a pre-marked strip of masking tape to help you position the letters correctly.

Place the masking tape along the lower edge of the bonnet, following the bonnet's contour as shown in the installation photos.

Make sure the tape is:

  • Straight and securely stuck down

  • Positioned along the bottom edge of the bonnet

  • Sitting in the correct position before you begin applying the letters

Do not remove the markings — these are your letter-position guides.

STEP 3 — USE THE MARKINGS AS YOUR GUIDE

The supplied masking tape has been pre-marked to indicate where each RANGER letter should be positioned.

Starting from one side, place each letter according to the corresponding marking on the tape.

The tape takes care of the spacing for you, so there is no need to measure the distance between each letter yourself.

TIP:

Before removing the adhesive backing, place all the letters in position first and check that the word RANGER looks straight and evenly spaced.

This is your last chance to say, "Yep, that looks right" before committing. 😂

STEP 4 — APPLY EACH LETTER

Once you are happy with the positioning:

  1. Carefully remove the protective backing from the adhesive on the letter.

  2. Align the letter with its corresponding marking on the masking tape.

  3. Make sure the letter is sitting straight.

  4. Press the letter firmly onto the bonnet.

  5. Hold pressure for a few seconds to ensure good adhesion.

  6. Repeat for each letter until RANGER is complete.

Take your time with alignment. Once the adhesive makes contact, avoid repeatedly lifting and repositioning the letters.

STEP 5 — FINAL CHECK

Once all six letters have been installed:

  • Check that all letters are straight.

  • Check that the spacing is even.

  • Press firmly around each letter to ensure the adhesive has made full contact.

  • Carefully remove the masking tape.

Stand back and admire your work.

Your Next-Gen Ranger now has the RANGER bonnet lettering installed with a clean, bold and properly spaced finish.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION TIPS

For the best results:

  • Install in a clean, dry environment.

  • Avoid installing in direct sunlight or extreme cold.

  • Make sure the bonnet surface is completely free of wax, polish and grease.

  • Do not wash the vehicle immediately after installation.

  • Allow the adhesive time to properly bond before exposing it to harsh conditions.

  • Do not rush the alignment — measure twice, stick once.

THE GOLDEN RULE:

Use the supplied pre-marked masking tape. It has already been measured to help you achieve the correct positioning and spacing.

No eyeballing.
No ruler.
No "I think that's straight." 😅

Just follow the markings and take your time.
