1. Clean the Surface: Thoroughly wash the upper door frame where the shield will sit using warm water mixed with a few drops of dishwashing liquid to remove all dirt, grease, and wax.

2. Dry Completely: Wipe down the area and ensure the surface is 100% dry before proceeding.
